Matt's graduation

I think everyone who reads this knows Matt is in the Air Force and that he wanted to be a combat controller when he joined a few years ago. He finally got to go to Combat Control School this spring and here are a few pictures.

As Matt says, this was when he still had muscle, before they starved him. Aren't the glasses cute? :)
That's ice they're breaking through to cross the river.

They learned to use gas masks with tear gas.

That's Matt on the right getting gassed.
He did better than most of the guys. He walked away from it.
The instructors gassed them while they were taking pictures. Matt says they just ran away :)
This is their final ruck march after their last field training

We all went to North Carolina (Pope AFB) for the graduation. We had lots of fun!

Matt got the Tech Sargent Christopher Matero Communications award that is given to "a combat control graduate who demonstrates exemplary tactical situational awareness in a combat environment."

We went to dinner with some of his friends.

I'm so lucky to be married to this guy. Give him a baby and he'll put it to sleep!
Jehan played a very important role.

We went to the JFK Special Warfare Museum (note Jehan's initials are JFK).
A chunk of the Berlin Wall.

We thought this was pretty hilarious. It's really quite a nice rug, but Bush is wearing the Pope's robes. It's a gift from the people of Afghanistan.

Brooke and I and the babies drove with Matt back to Valdosta on our way back to Florida. This was Matt's house for a couple of years while he was living in Georgia.

Catching up on Jehan

Our little stinker has been keeping us busy! He's getting all over the place and he isn't even walking yet. Here are some pictures from last month :)

We went to Matthew's first birthday party at Jumpin' Jack's. It was lots of fun! Matthew is getting so big. Poor Matthew just wanted to play with his sock but Jehan wouldn't leave him alone! They were very cute :)
